She litigates intellectual property and other business disputes in federal courts and before international arbitration tribunals and administrative authorities. Dr. Shi also advises public and private companies, research enterprises and NGOs on transactional matters including cross-border M&A, strategic alliances, regulatory compliance, global IP strategy, business organizations, and technology transfer. Her practices cover a range of industries, including computer electronics, network communications, digital health, data analytics, gaming, VR/AR, biopharmaceuticals, diagnostics, and medical technologies.

Henry T. Gallagher, Principal, is based in Washington, D.C. Mr. Gallagher has been in civil practice for over thirty years and focuses in the business law areas. He handles corporate matters and commercial transactions including real estate transactions. Prior to entering private practice he was a staff attorney with the Division of Enforcement of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (Washington, D.C.). Mr. Gallagher advises on cross-border activities and particularly issues relating to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

Dr. Erikson has more than a decade of experience in academic research and serves as Associate Professor of Pharmacology at the University of Houston currently. Dr. Eriksen also co-leads commercialization efforts in several biotechnology ventures in the private sector. He is a co-founder of Alzeca Biosciences, LLC, a private equity-backed biotechnology company engaged in developing early-stage Alzheimer’s diagnostics.

Charlie C. Xu is a Senior Advisor based in Beijing, China. Dr. Xu has over twenty-five years of medical practice, academic research, and life sciences industry experiences in China, Canada, and the United States. Upon graduation from the Capital University of Medicine in Beijing in 1982, Dr. Xu worked as a resident physician in Beijing Tiantan Hospital for five years and then moved to Canada in 1987 to start an academic career as a prestigious Jeanne Timmins Scholar at Montreal Neurological Institute. He then received his PhD in neuropathology from McGill University in 1997 and completed a postdoctoral program in pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease at Montreal General Hospital.

Waseda University appointed Mr. Watanabe as President of the Waseda Research Institute to promote research collaboration between the university and industry research institutes and government

Dr. rer. nat. Holger Wallmeier
Senior Advisor
Dr. Wallmeier is a Senior Advisor and Domain Expert based in Frankfurt, Germany. Dr. Wallmeier spent twenty-four years in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry working for multinational pharmaceutical companies (MNPs) including Hoechst, Aventis Research & Technologies, and Sanofi-Aventis. He served as Head of Core Technology Area Biomathematics for a number of years before leaving MNPs in 2010, and has particular expertise in scientific and bio-computing, quantitative biology, software development and related research management and international collaborations. Since then, Dr. Wallmeier has advised pharmaceutical, diagnostic, and biotech companies and institutions in the areas of immunology, hematology, gastro-intestinal tract, and the intestinal microbiome.
